Headteacher's welcome

I am delighted and privileged to be Headteacher of Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl. It is a wonderful school with a dedicated team of staff providing high quality teaching experiences ensuring our learners are ambitious, enterprising, ethical and healthy citizens.

Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl is a voluntary controlled church school situated in the village of Llandegla. The school serves the rural villages of Llandegla and Bryneglwys but also draws upon other local villages.

As a Church in Wales school, Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl provide, in partnership with all stakeholders, a quality education and a breadth of opportunities, so that all pupils reach their full potential.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

Our website can only give a taste of some of the things that happen here, enjoy browsing the informative pages, and I’m sure you will like what you see.

Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl delivers a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children will recognise and achieve. We ensure that the learning will be engaging, relevant, challenging and motivational to children in the classroom and beyond.

Our appealing topics, together with pupil voice, will allow learners to have opportunities to work in ways that enhance their learning and also present their work in their own unique and personal way.

Why not come and see for yourself? I would be delighted to meet you and to give you the opportunity to see our very special school in action first hand.
